Chinese Yam Rice Recipe

Asian cuisine: Yam rice with roasted pork, >369kcal  - summary recipe

Servings: 2pax

Ingredients:
  •  350g yam
  •  1.5 cup basmati rice
  •  2 cloves garlic (mince)
  • 1 Chinese Sausage (Lap Cheong, peeled skin)
  • 3 tablespoons dried shrimp (soaked in warm water, drained)
  •  300g  chicken thigh (2 pcs)
  • 1/2 cups water, 1 cup seasoning mixture
  •  5 dried shiitake mushrooms
  • 4 tablespoons sesame oil
  •  100g roasted pork
Seasonings mixture:
  • 2 tablespoons black sweet sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 dashes white pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Singlong chicken ginger sauce
  • Dipping sauce
  • Singlong hainanese chili
Procedure:
  • wash rice
  • heat up sesame oil, add mince garlic, mushrooms, dried shrimp, yam, roasted pork, chicken thigh, stir-fry until the meat changes color.
  • Add 1 cup seasonings, 1/2 cup water, bring it to boil. Add rice, do a few quick stirs.
  • Transfer everything into the rice cooker and set normal rice setting
