Chinese Steam Ladies Fingers Recipe

Asian cuisine: Chinese Steam okra / ladies fingers ~70kcal - summary recipe

Servings: 1pax  
Ingredients:
  • 100g / 8 pieces ladies fingers (cut stalk end)
  • 4 cloves garlic (chopped) & 3 tablespoons olive oil (for garlic oil)
Sauce (mix together)
  • 8g/ tablespoon warm water
  • 8g/ 1 tablespoons light soya sauce (1/2 for lighter taste)
  • 8g/ 2 teaspoons oyster sauce (1/2 for lighter taste)
  • 3 dashes white pepper powder (1 for lighter taste)
  • 4g/ 1 teaspoons fried garlic & 1 tablespoon garlic oil/olive oil (1/2 for lighter taste)
Procedure:
  1. Fry chopped garlic in oil till golden brown. Set aside.
  2. Mix sauce ingredients in a suitable bowl. (1 tablespoon of the oil (previously used to fry the garlic).
  3. Steam ladies fingers for 3-5 minutes (15-20mins, 140C for electric steamer). Remove from steamer and place on a serving plate.
  4. Pour sauce on steamed ladies fingers, garnish with fried garlic.
